Human Resource Management

Human Resource Concentration Program

The Human Resource Management program at EBI is highly sought after by working professionals in the Elmira area. The main reason for this—changes in the workplace have led to the growth of a business role that is considered critical to the success of many businesses. As the Human Resources team, the HR function is responsible for attracting, choosing, assessing, and rewarding employees as well as overseeing organizational compliance with employment and labor laws.

In many cases, the Human Resources function also serves as the company’s primary liaison with employees and employee representatives (including lawyers and trade unions). Elmira Business Institute has developed a Human Resource Program to train practitioners in the profession and help them specialize in various HR tasks while preparing to be a strategic decision maker in business. Our Human Resource Management program at EBI is dedicated exclusively to the duties of the HR function, and is part of our more comprehensive Business Administration Program.

In a global work environment, companies are highly focused on finding and retaining the right talent. Reducing employee turnover and preserving corporate knowledge is critical. This takes the right kind of talent to manage the human resources of a company.
